Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arkansas

The county sheriff left note on door, saying Pls remove yourself from house, I have legal papers to remove you. This is first contact since Landlord filed bankruptcy and bank took over property, and served Lis Pendins Complaint to us 60 days ago. What will he have? Will we have to leave immediately or within a few days? We are in Arkansas.

The bank has obviously obtained a writ or order of possession without your prior knowledge. You, as a tenant, are entitled to certain rights of notice. Be proactive. Call the sherriff and let him know you did not recieve any prior notice to vacate. Ask for a reasonable amount of time to relocate.
