Legal Question in Military Law in Arkansas
military desertion
my brother deserted the navy last year. he sent an email (to someone in charge not sure who?) letting them know he wouldn't be returning. A whole year went by and they were still depositing his money into his account. he hasn't touched the money but was pulled over the other night for a broken tail light and arrested. at the time he left the navy he was already home on leave (he had just finished his ''C'' school in pensacola and was suppose to be stationed in japan and never went. i was just wondering what kind of trouble he would get in and how long,if any, prision time would he get? he was only in for about 6months and never even went over seas. he was fresh out of boot camp/schooling. he is sitting at the county jail waiting for the navy to come get him. how long could that take? i know i have a lot of questions but this is all new to me and i'm worried about my brother he's only 22years old.
