Legal Question in Military Law in Arkansas
Resigning Commission
I was involuntarily separated from USAF (honorably) for non-select to Major. I have 9 yrs, 10 mos as an officer (and 4 yrs as enlisted). Attempting to enlist in USA to eventually obtain a Warrant Officer commission. To enlist, I must resign my commission in the USAF IRR. If I resign my commission does this preclude me from ever holding a commission again? And, if so, would I still be able to retire after 20 yrs with my highest rank held (O-3)...which I held for almost 6 years?
