Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arkansas

Does He Owe Us Money?

My husband & I bought a small sports bar 29 months ago for $25000, and rented the building for $3000 monthly from the same man. Business is down, we are behind on sales tax, we thought it was best to talk to man about payment arrangement while we tried to get caught up. In short, he took the business back, didn't pay us a dime, we are both unemployed, virtually penniless, deeper in debt than we've ever been, with 25 years of excellent credit going down the drain. The 29 months that we owned said bar, we took excellent care of it. We upgraded it in many ways, built a better reputation for it, brought in many new customer, cut costs, both operational and inventory. Does he not owe us something? Or is this one of those ''Live and Learn'' lessons?

A review of the contract(s)of purchase would be necessary to determine if you are due anything. Please contact me if you want me to review them.
