Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

My mother and step farther have been married for over 30 years. My mother passed away and her maiden name is the only name on the deed to the house, she made the purchase before she married. What rights does her husband have to the house, and what rights do my brother and I have?

This is our family home and we want to make sure it remains in the family.
