Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

If I have been paying taxes on my home for more than 12 years, on the property of my grandpa, who died intestate about 6 years ago, do I have a legal right to a title for that property where my home sits?

The short answer is "maybe." The doctrine of adverse possession provides that, where certain requirements are met, an individual can obtain title to property without purchasing it. It sounds like you already meet some of the requirements, but Arkansas statutes add a couple of unique twists to the doctrine, so I'd recommend contacting an attorney to see if you meet the remaining requirements.
