Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

Help Please!

I am recently divorced

In the divorce decree, it was agreed that my ex pay me $5000.00, and a $4000.00 debt & a $3000.00 debt, with ''liens'' being filed on his share of an estate. These ''liens'' were filed.

Ex has now filed a Chapter 13 & has listed these debts. I am fighting his Chapter 13.

How or CAN I get the estatee to release payment for this? The Estate attorney is not answering my calls.

You will definitely need an attorney that has divorce and bankruptcy experience to handle this situation. This is an area that I would hesitate to handle by yourself.

There is special treatment for divorce settlements in bankruptcy but you need to protect those rights with proper filings in the bankruptcy proceeding.
