Legal Question in Workers Comp in Arkansas
workman compensation
I fell in the service dept. at our dealership because of a oil slick they had not cleaned up and damaged the nerves and l4 l5 lumbar. Previously had told my employer a date that I was to retire because of pressure from him, I was over 64 years of age at the time and told him I need insurance or medicare before I could retire. Three months before my 65th birthday my salary was cut in half but they did continue my insurance thru the company and I was given a 4 day work week. The therapy is not improving and I need to work at another job of some sort for about 2 years before I am finanical secure enough to retire is there any recource against my previous employer since the accident was a act of negligence on their part. Workman comp is paying for all the treatments but I have consistent back and neck pain and feel I can not continue working at the job I now have. The accident has took much of the enjoyment from partial retirement since I have a passion for golf and can no longer play.
