Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Australia
Civil liability
I called an emergency plumbing
provider, due to a broken water
heater which caused a water flow,
and the plumber came in and fixed it
without a quote or my consent.
He is now billing me for $1000.
Do i have to pay? What would be the
outcome if he was to sue?

Re: Civil liability
in principle, you have a contract, and are liable to pay.
However, your argument is about the terms of the contract- firstly, what terms did you have notice of,what terms should be implied; and second whether performance met these.
there is an arguable case - and we can help you if you wish.
