Do the providers of chat rooms have any responsibility legally with regard to AVO court orders?

Re: Chat Rooms
I'm not sure where you are located, because the law varies from place to place. Generally, though, an Apprehended Violence Order or similar type of court order is only binding on the person against whom it is taken out. Even then, it would depend on the terms of the order - it may only cover physical contact. There has never been any court that I know of that has found a chat room administrator responsible for enforcing the terms of an AVO. Hope this helps.
