Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Australia

Hi there,

I had some overdue and outstanding debts with credit corp and they were listed on my file as defaults. I got this full time job in November last year and had been talking to them regularly to find a solution to start paying monthly but they were insisting on a lump sump which I couldnt afford as I didnt have any money. Finally I asked to them start direct debit of 100 $ a month so I can cover the interest and pay some on the top till I am in a better situation. All the recordings and emails that we exchanged in last 2 weeks say that It is only 100 a month but they took out 400 on the first payment today when I couldnt afford it. When I asked her, she said she thought it was 100 for each account and said "its a good thing that you have paid more" when I was saying im struggling and I want the remaining refunded to my account. They havent responded to my request and I am in a very bad financial condition now.

Could you please help as I think they are taking advantage now. Thankyou

you are a good person and it seems all happened on misunderstanding. Eschange some further mail to restrict the same to $100. But how come they taken $400 when u have given standing order to them to draw only $100?
