Re: Children getting their say on divorce
Judges are usually very reluctant to interview children that young because children of that age are simply unable to express a mature view that could be useful in making decisions about their welfare. Sometimes they are able to give comments that give the listener some insight into what the child may have seen or heard but this is usually best heard by a child psychologist or social worker who has the neceesary expertise to try and work out what are real observations by the child and what is the product of manipulation or misunderstanding.
