Legal Question in Family Law in Australia

my children and my expartners new partner

me and my ex have been separated for 2 years now and he has had the same girlfriend for the passed 2 years i have residencie of my 2 boys and there dad is going overseas at the end of the week so he wont be hear to have his acsess and has told me that his girlfriend is going to have them my question is does she have any rights to my children while there dad is overseas do i have to let her have them when they are able to be with me there mother ?

the starting point is to consider that the idea of parenting orders is to allow the children to spend time with and therefore get the best from both parents. this doesnt necessarily mean that the parent has to be there every second of the time that the child is in their care, but it doesnt seem to make any sense to leave the child with a new partner for an extended period as is proposed.
