Legal Question in Family Law in Australia

Hi My husband and i have just separated he went off with someone else and she is pregnant i want her to sign a stat dec saying that she will not try to get any part of my house or anything else that i own but i,m not sure how to word it can you please give me an idea

A Statutory Declaration will not achieve what you want or afford you much protection.

You need a financial separation from the Family Court - ideally by Consent Orders negotiated out of Court if possible.

Vicky, as Dean said, you need to be protected. There are only two ways of doing this- a binding financial agreement ( generally not recommended) or orders, preferably with the agreement of you and your ex: these are called consent orders. Most people settle without going anywhere near a courtroom, and can do so cheaply.
