Legal Question in Family Law in Australia

prenuptial

Are there do it yourself kits for prenuptial agreements, or do youhave to go through a lawyer? What are the prices for such documents to be drawn up?

Re: prenuptial

I am not aware of any do it yourself kits for pre-nups and I would be surprised if there were any. The ramifications of such a document are so serious that it would be extremely risky to try and prepare one yourself. The rules must be complied with strictly or the document will be more or less meaningless. They tend to cost around the $1000 to $1500 mark but like all things they could cost more or less dependant upon the circumstances.
