The inheritance will be seen as an item that must be taken into account as a part of any australian court proceedings. However, obviously your husband has not contributed in any way to its creation and this will be taken into account when considering what percentage split you should each receive. To put it another way, the percenteages that you each receive should be altered so that the inheritance is in effect quarantined from the rest of your property. Any attempts on your part to hide or disguise the inheritance will probably be seen in a bad light.
