Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Australia

I filmed a film clip for a band and it was all voluntary and there was no agreements signed by me. I organised everything, and paid for the tapes and got all the equipment myself. I gave the band the finished clip. They have decided that they would like to change it and they want me to give them all of the footage filmed on the day. I have told them that because I filmed it, and have already given them the finished clip, I am under no obligation to give them all the footage shot from the day. I just want to know where I stand, and really want to know who owns the footage?

Based on the limited facts available, the fact that it was voluntary tends to indicate that the obligation for you to supply anything is voluntary.

Nonetheless we recommend that you obtain legal advice.
