Legal Question in Product Liability in Australia
Warranty
About 9 months ago we commission a company to rebuild 2 motors on a charter boat.
We have had continuing problems since the rebuild and they have done some work to rectify it, although it has never been satisfactory.
About 2 months ago it blew a piston and they rectified it,
Last week it did it again on the same motor.
We have had 2 other companies look at the problem and they both commented it was not done corectly,
Now the original company wants to wash there hands of the whole problem.
What should be our next step, and where do we stand legally.
Your assistance would be appreciated.

Re: Warranty
the answer depends to a great extent on the contractual arrangement between you and the motor rebuilder.
You should consult a solicitor.
