Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Bahamas
my father has life tenecy of the house i own. He has an outstanding bill with a judgement from the courts to pay. I ask can the courts demand payment from me. And can the collecting agency make a legal claim on my house.

This is a good question.
A life tenancy is not an estate in fee simple absolute. A life tenant has only the right to occupy the Property. A life tenant is not an owner of the Property therefore a Judgment against the Life Tenant cannot attach to the Property.
