Legal Question in Family Law in Bangladesh

Dear lawyer

I am a British Citizen I have a wife and son in Bangladesh my son is 5 months old

our marriage has come to a break down and now I am overly concerned about my son's well being and my wife will not let me have anything to do with my son.

I am really concerned and need custody of my son can you please let me know on which grounds I can apply to be a custodian for my son.

I have also heard that when my son is seven years old I will be able to get custody but I mean in the mean time what are my options. As to getting custody of son.

You have to file a petition(application) before Family Court for custody. The Court considers the following matters:

*age,sex,religion of the minor

*character and capacity of the father/mother/guardian

* Minor's preference

when your son will be 7 years old you will get custody but it doesn't mean that mother loses opportunity to keep him. The main thing the court consider is child's welfare.
