Legal Question in Family Law in Bangladesh
Dear Lawyer,
I am seeking for your advice on behalf of the girl whom I love. Please have patience while you are reading my following story and I am requesting you to give me advice.
I love a girl who is 20 years old. Six months ago she was forced to marry other guy who lives in Saudi Arabia. Her family forced her as I was unemployed. The guy seems to be a good person as he did not mistreat her by any way till this day. But she is not happy with the man. She still loves me. Our relation is based on a lot of mental support that we have provided each other during our crisis. I love her too.
Now she wants a divorce. On behalf of her I want to know,
1. On what ground she can seek for divorce?
2. If that man do not allow for the divorce then what can be done?
3. Her family will not permit the divorce, is it truly necessary to get her family on her side?
4. What are procedures of the divorce?
5. If she can not present the Kabin Nama, then what can be done?
6. If the Kabin Nama does not allow her to divorce then what are the process to get the divorce?
Thank you for your patience. Please advise me as soon as possible. I will contact if I need more advice.

No ground is to be mentioned to make a divorce if a bride has got the power to divorce by kabinnama. If she does not have the power, she may seek dissolution of her marriage to the court of law. A bride can alone do it without the assistance of any of her family member. Any body can collect certified copy of kabinnama from the office of marriage registrar.
