Legal Question in Tax Law in Belgium

U.S. Citizen Working in Belgium Needing Tax Efficient Startegiesent

One member of an Pennsylvania formed LLC will perform services in Belgium on a long-term basis. What tax responsibilities will the member have in Belgium and what tax responsibilities will the member have in the U.S.? What is the most efficient way to structure compensation for this employee? What other factors should we consider?

Sorry, but I need clarification on whether the LLC member is going to work on his own account or in his capacity as an employee of the LLC?

It would also be helpful to know how much the member expects to earn abroad.

There is a provision in US tax law that allows the exclusion of a certain amount of a US taxpayer's income earned abroad where the taxpayer is (as you describe) resident abroad for more than one year. A qualified CPA can assist you with the calculations.

Best wishes,

LDWG
