Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
F1 status
I hold an F1 status which will expire next year. Can I apply for immigrant status on my own? I don't want to get married in order to stay here legally and I don't have any relatives or employer who can sponsor me.

Before anything else, thanks for writing me at LawGuru.com
If you have 5 years in US, you can qulify for a green card. If not, is not possible stay in US if you have not a sponsor. You can back to US later getting a new visa anyway.

Any doubt or another question, let me know it please.

Re: F1 status
You'll generally need an employer sponsor or immediately relationship to a U.S. citizen to file for lawful permanent residence, unless you are deemed "extraordinary" (e.g. the level of a Nobel prize winner in a certain field).
Re: F1 status
Depends upon your qualifications such as educational background, publication record, memebership information, etc.
