Legal Question in Family Law in California
My grandmother (My father's Mother) adopted me when I was very young since my parents were never around or together. My mother had 3 other kids after me (not by my father) and my Grandmother still adopted each of us since she wanted to keep us siblings all together. All were done in L.A County
My grandmother just passed away last week. I have a brother who is 16 and a sister who is 8, who were still living at home with her. I need to know how do I get custody of the younger two? I am 22 years old and have a Family of my own now too. They can not go to foster care it is out of the question.

You should contact a family law attorney in and immediately file a Petition for Temporary Guardianship pending an adoption. You should secure the children so that they are residing with you when you petition the courts for guardianship. A family law attorney can assist you in following the appropriate procedures so that your case is heard before CPS comes in to intervene.
