Legal Question in Elder Law in California
I live with my grandparents and my grandmother is as I believe is going through the stages of demensia and my grandfather is not able to take care of business. She hasnt been paying bill's and also has stop keeping up with her hygiene. What are my options in getting them help and what legal action can be taken?? She will not leave the house to see a doctor. She hasnt been out the house in over 2 years?

Here in Orange County, Adult Protective Services works closely with the Elder Abuse Forensic Center. I am not implying or saying that abuse is an issue here - but these folks are well connected, know resources very well, work with folks in the field outside of their county and share a real concern for aging people. They are constructive and goal orientated. If you reach out to the director, Laura Mosqueda, MD, you will get excellent direction.
