Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I am a renter living in a home that was foreclosed on by the bank. I have continued to live in the home since it was foreclosed on without paying rent. The house is a dump and i complained about this to the previous landlord and the bank. A couple of days ago the floor gave out in the kitchen causing me to break my leg. Can i sue the bank for my injuries and medical bills?

Should a person suffer an injury from a negligently maintained floor in a rented home, the landlord may be liable. If the home is owned by a bank post foreclosure locating the proper owner could be tricky but not impossible... but such difficulty means the overall value of the case must be worth the extra problems associated with the complexities.

Fortunately, many of us personal injury attorney types offer free consultations and take cases on contingency. Thus, there is nothing to fear when calling.
