How can a get out of a vehicle lease that I can no longer afford?

Well, that might be a problem.....if you simply turn the car in, they will most likely sue you for the lease balance.....not sure how much this would be in your case, but it could certainly be a problem. If they do that, and the amount is substantial, you might be faced with the choice of somehow negotiating a settlement, or having to file bankruptcy. Obviously, if you already had a lot of other debt, that option would at least be a bit more palatable.
