Age Discrimination

I have been looking for employment and hitting a brick wall. I can't believe how many ads say things like ''young'' right in their job descriptions. And I have even had interviewers that have attacked my age with statements such as, ''you have been out of school for a long time. Are you even current in your knowledge?'' I have managed and owned several businesses and would never ask questions like that in an interview. Can people like that be sued and how about the ones writing those ads?

I get the same thing ("We're looking to build a young team.") And I hear about big companies that simply lay off everyone over 50. Yes, employers can be sued, but the lawsuits are hard and costly to fight, and there has to be damages....
