What the ADA is...

The American with Disabilities Act of 1990 prohibits discrimination against disabled individuals in the areas of employment,public services, public accommodations, transportation and communication. The primary purpose of the Americans withDisabilities Act (ADA) is to break down the barriers that have kept people with disabilities from fully participating in all aspectsof society. This act makes disability discrimination illegal.
