Legal Question in Disability Law in California
My aunt has paid for long term disability and has just been denied her benefits because she "can work" at other jobs. She does not mind working at another position until she is better but she is worried that she will lose her position and seniority. What is the appropriate thing to do in this situation?

It is not unusual for a disablity insurance carrier to initially deny coverage. Often for weak or
pretextual reasons. You may want to contact an attorney in your local area that is familiar with insurance law.
