Legal Question in Disability Law in California
I am a county worker who applied for service-connected disability
retirement. It was initially denied but then set for a second hearing.
I have decided to withdraw my application and received the following on
the retirement letterhead:
I,..., hereby request to withdraw my application for
service-connected disability retirement filed ...
Such withdrawal shall be without prejudice.
Signature and Date
What does this? I don't know whether to sign it as worded.
Thanks.

"Without prejudice" means the application may be refiled if circumstances warrant it. "With prejudice" would mean a new application could not be filed.
