Legal Question in Disability Law in California

disabled placard

under california dmv rules u can park in a residential area that requires permit..... i live in a area that requires a permit to residences and limited to so many i have parked for 4 months and now they have hired a lawyer to say the disabled rules dont apply to them if i dont stop they will issue ticket and tow car......... there is no handicap parking at all

Until you get them to change their position it is best to avoid getting ticketed by following their rules. Contact the DMV legal division and report fairly and objectively what has happened and if they could get the town to stop their behavior and obey state law. You can point out to the City's lawyer that as they know state rules are superior to local ordiances.
