Legal Question in Disability Law in California
Discrimination in hiring
When I use an ex-boss as a company reference, he tells them of my disabilities and tells them that I could not hack it at work and had to retire early. The new employer prospect tells me this and will not hire me.

Re: Discrimination in hiring
If you can prove your former boss is saying these things, you may have a basis for a claim against him for a violation of your medical confidentiality and, possibly, a statute that makes it unlawful to blackball employees. You should confer with an experienced employment law attorney in your area to assess the evidence and your options.
