Discrimination on job retention
I am a newly diagosed disabled person with hepatic disease. I have been off work for 6 months under doctor's care. Last month my supervisor informed me that my job would be terminated because I have been off for more than 4 months. This is the 1st notice of this action. My doctor will probably not release me to return to work for 3 or 4 more months. What are my rights under ADA? Please answer ASAP as my employer wants a meeting next week to settle this matter.

Not all disabilities are covered under the ADA or under the California law (Fair Employemnt and Housing Act). You should seek competant counsel to determine whether your medical condition will qualify.
