Legal Question in Disability Law in California

My father has been in prison for 4 years and has been sentenced for 6 and wants to serve out his time. Can they force him on parole if he wants to finish his time?

The poor guy. Unfortunately the prison system is so overcrowded it's unlikely they'll let him stay. While I am unable to recommend that he commit another crime when he is released I have heard of such things happening.
