Legal Question in Disability Law in California

I am having my left hip replaced on the 25th of this month. I also have a moderately to severe right hip and arthritic knee. I simply can no longer do my job which is a union carpenter. My surgeon agrees and will verify this. Do I have the right to be retrained by disability for another job that pays a similar salary? I have been in construction my whole adult working life.

Thank you,

Bruce Romanoff

You may have a continuous trauma type of injury that you may have been suffering for working for a long period of time. The question is which employer caused your injury and in many instances it depends on job analysis and duration of your employment. You need to open a worker's compensation case perhaps against the employer with the longest duration causing your injuries. Call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
