Legal Question in Disability Law in California
I recently had a background check done at my new place of employment that came back reporting that I had a criminal record. This is not true, I have never even been arrested. How do I disprove this information to the new company I am working for? Also, how do I get this information off of my background?

First of all, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to a copy of your so-called "background check." Write a polite letter to your employer explaining your situation and insisting that you receive a copy. Then you would dispute the information with the credit reporting agency. Search [FCRA].
