Legal Question in Disability Law in California
Returning to work from Maternity (disability) leave
What are the employer obligations under law when I return to work with regards to hours and days. Am I entitled to my same shift and hours? or can they offer a different shift and/or less hours? I have been out on disability for 6 weeks due to having a baby. It is a small company with only 3 full time employees and 2 parttime.

Generally, the employer must return you to the same job, including days and hours, that you had prior to the pregnancy leave. Even small employers are covered under California constitutional pretections against sex discrimination.
