Legal Question in Disability Law in California

I was wondering how much it would cost my parents to correct my misspelled name on my birth certificate. My social is spelled right but my birth certificate isn't, and they are just catching it now. I would also like to know what the steps are.

Safest way is to petition to change your name. Hey, you might have to fly someday.
