is there a worker's compensation issue when a worker dies on site of a cardiopulmonary arrest?

The workers compensation death benefit is on the order of $300K payable to the worker's dependents (not necessarily the same as the heirs). So if there is any question as to whether the cardopulmonary arrest was work-related, it will be very worthwhile for the dependent(s) to retain a workers' comp attorney and litigate the case before the worker-friendly Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
