Legal Question in Administrative Law in California

its been a couple of yrs since my attorney handled my case. I have been asking him for my file for three yrs and he just keeps giving me the run around what should i do. I believe he overcharged me and want to take the next step. Im not sure how to do it. He is attorney in southern ca who deals with trust law.

One suggestion is to go to the State Bar of California Web site and explore the procedures for lodging a formal complaint against him. Perhaps, however, after familiarizing yourself with the complaint procedures (which aren't too difficult), it would work simply to call him and advise him that a complaint will be filed if you don't get his full cooperation within X days.
