Legal Question in Administrative Law in California
I purchased a new card and traded in my old one. The 4000 dollar deposit I gave them bounced because the check that I had deposited in my bank also bounced. The dealership has been paid for the car and and my loan is in place. The dealer told me if I did not have the money there today they will repo my car. What are my rights in this situation. Do I have the right to get my trade in back. At this point I am broke trying to get a loan because I got charged for trying to get the loan. Please help me
Thank you,
Jan Brown

My guess is that the dealership has not been paid because you were giving them a downpayment.,there is probably an enforceable contract. A unilateral rescission to cancel everything and get your old car back may be tough if they have done something with it and refuse to let you out of a contract. It was part of the down...you may have a cause against the person who wrote the bad check...
