Legal Question in Administrative Law in California
Sale of a business
My partner has sold his business with a major corporate insurance agency. The buyer and the corporate agency are forcing me to change my phone number. Is that legal?

Re: Sale of a business
What kind of a partnership was it? If you are accurate in describing the other person as your partner, then you have substantial rights; a true partner cannot usually sell the business, or any interest in it, without unanimous consent of all other partners, and then must share the proceeds. My hunch is you were not partners and there was no partnership. If I'm wrong, see a lawyer right away.
