Underage drinking in CA legally?

Is it legal for someone under the age of

21 to drink legally at their home in the

state of CA?

I am not a criminal law attorney, but all the laws that know of that ban certain activity do so whether or not it is done in public [except being naked]. The purpose of the alcohol laws is to pervent people below a certain age from consuming those beverages, not just to stop them from doing so in public. Of course, if you drink at home and do not cause so much noise to bother any neighbors and do not go outside until your body has burned off al the alcohol, how are the police to know that you were drinking? On the other hand, kids who drink to get a buzz on are not acting rationally anyway so they will probably post their drunk pictures on utube or go outside to act in a drunken fashion.
