Legal Question in Administrative Law in California

This may be the wrong place for this, however, I recently attended Jury Duty in the Superior Court of California in my county. It has only been a month since I've been. The problem is I have received a summons to serve on the Grand Jury service in the US District Court in Sacramento. I have verification from the Superior Court of California protecting me from serving again for a year. Will this verification allow me dismissal from the US District Court? Or since they are separate branches, will it not make a difference? Of course I will respond to the summons and bring the paperwork regardless, but I would like to know before going in. Thanks in advance!

Not just separate branches, but completely different systems .......... also, jury duty in a trial court is very different from service on a Grand Jury. The purpose of a Federal Grand Jury is usually to decide whether the prosecution has enough evidence to warrant issuance of an indictment against a suspect. You won't be attending a trial.
