Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

appeals to a recklous driving speeding ticket

I went to court for a speeding ticket of 105 miles an hour. the Highway Patrolman that pulled me over said he got his bike calibrated the day before the infraction. He also said he did not have a radar gun. he did not have a ny written proof and the judge did not ask for any written proof. I told the judge I was going 85 miles an hour and the vehicle i was driving would not go over 100 miles an hour due to the govorner. the judge than asked me if i had written proof which at that point i did not. he told me that he could not believe me if i didn't have it in writing. The day after my court trail i got the vehicle calibrated, and it was set at 100 miles an hour is this right that i have to have written proof for everything and the officer does not, the judge goes by his word of mouth. i am now appealing the ticket. is there any advice you could provide to me about this infraction.

Re: appeals to a recklous driving speeding ticket

My advice is: Don't speed. Whether 85 or 105 mph, you are endangering yourself and others.

You are lucky if you didn't kill someone.
