Appellant's Respond to Respondent's Request for JN

I am in Pro per in Appellate Court. I have a serious injury which is disabling.

I have appealed my case and now I am stuck.

I want to respond to Respondent's Request for Juicial Notice using Evidence Code 452(d), etc.

Do I cross-appeal in 30 days or just respond in 20 days? What is cross-appeal?

I want to be heard in appeal court.

The Respondents' are using fabracations to win this case. It is unfair.

You must file an opposition to the RJN, since it is treated as a motion, not a brief. You generally have ten days to respond. Your opening brief is due after the record on appeal is filed, and you get 30 days automatically, plus any extensions you request, to file it.

A cross-appeal is done by the winning respondent, for issues it wants changed or in response to the possibility you might win the appeal.
