Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

In a California Appellate Case, what does "Cause to be Submitted" ,with a Date & time, (in the Court Docket) mean ? Can a relative attend this & how do I find out where it will take place ?

Thanks.

Oral argument is open to the public (it can be, but usually isn't, waived by the parties). Other events are not public. You can call the clerk of the Court of Appeal if the docket is unclear to you.

The submission of a case is an administrative act. It is not is distinct hearing, so there is nothing for you or your relative to attend.

Most cases are submitted on the same day when they are argued. If the Court has asks for additional briefing after argument, then the case is submitted on the due date for the last brief. If the parties waived oral argument and there are no more briefs coming due, then that is the date when the case will be submitted.
