I am divorced about a 1.5 yearsI've been diagnosed with bi polar depression and anxiety.For over 3 years.I take very strong prescribed medication for this a.When I signed the papers I feel that I wasn't in the right state of mind being on the medications and signed the papers always being rushed to sign by my ex she threatens to call my probation officer if I don't sign.I sign everything away except I got my bicycle and my Xbox but that was it can I appeal? The appropriate response is to indicate that an appeal probably would not be the answer. Obviously what you have indicated would not be the basis for an appeal because the issue you raise is not likely to be in the record. An appeal contends that based on the court record an error occurred. Here you are raising an issue not of record. There may be other issues that would support an appeal but an attorney would have to determine the grounds from examination of the record before the trial court. The issue you raise needs to be raised before the court that heard the case to see if an issue exists that would require a change in the judgment. This is a complex issue that would require expert testimony. Do you have an expert who could testify in court in support of your contention. Find yourself a good attorney in family law matters.
