He was charged with a case, but then the d.a. added some other past cases for which he had already served time for. His family and I do not have a lot of money, but are willing to make payment arrangements if someone can assist us un getting his sentence lower or even maybe thrown out. We are all willing to go back to court for this once again as well. how can you help us.

Re: my fiance was wrongly convicted
I can't be sure based upon what you have written, but it sounds like your fiance received sentencing enhancements -- in other words, his punishment for the new crime was increased because he had previously been convicted of the other crimes.
Such enhancements are often permitted or even required. At the same time, the rules regarding enhancements are very complicated and judges often make mistakes. I would need to know a lot more about your fiance's case before I could say whether the court sentenced him properly.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further. I am certified as an appellate specialist by the state bar's board of legal specialization -- a certification held by only about 230 of the roughly 180,000 California attorneys.

Often times new charges can be accompanied by "enhancement" sentences, which reflect past crimes committed. However, often times juvenile crimes are inadmissible and without the proper objections being made, the court system can make errors. If you would like TIMELY, affordable legal assistance in this very unfortunate matter, contact us directly today for a free phone consultation. We will do everything in our power to ensure justice is properly served for your fiance. God Bless.
